The Song of Bernadette

Our Lady of Lourdes, and The Immaculate Conception are closely united to the devotion of Our Lady of America. Sister Mary Ephrem had a fondness in her heart for St.Bernadette. In fact, in her first appearance to Sister Mary Ephrem,Our Lady came as Our Lady of Lourdes. During one of Sr.Mary Ephrem's mystical experiences she was taken by her guardian angel to the Lourdes grotto. There she found the young St.Bernadette waiting for her near a high and brilliant staircase that lead to Our Lady, enveloped in a soft glow of light. Oh how she wanted to run to Our Lady, she related to Archbishop Leibold,in a letter documenting her vision. But the young Bernadette held her back, telling Sr.Mary Ephrem it was not yet her time.

Today in our modern world to find a secular artist preforming a melody in honor of St.Bernadette is touching. The Song of Bernadette preformed by Jennifer Warrens has been sung by several recording artist, perhaps inspiring the things that are holy in many.

May Our Lady of America,The Immaculate Virgin convert our hearts and our country,so long ago consecrated to Her Immaculate Conception. Through the power of The Immaculate Conception, Oh Mary ,lift up brave and valiant torchbearers to bear witness to the saving power of sanctifying grace in our hearts. Young Sr.Mary Ephrem is pictured to the right of this post.
